If anyone has read 'Consider Phlebas', you will remember a chap called Kraiklyn, who never had to sleep because a third of his brain would take turns sleeping every 8 hours, enabling him to function non-stop. This, by anyone's standards, is damned cool. Since there are never enough hours in the day to think about doing stuff, I have devised an experiment, whereby I will try to function continuously without sleep for as long as possible. Unfortunately, I can't get parts of my brain to sleep independently, so I've decided to use my whole brain at one third capacity throughout the whole day, thus emulating the Kraiklyn effect.
So far I've not slept for about 20 hours. Unfortunately, I have to have lunch with my project manager fairly soon, which may throw the experiment off, since communicating coherrently is essential.

The Kraiklyn Experiment
