I got Guarddog for linux as a firewall configuration tool about a couple of weeks ago and I've been using it thinking all was well. Utill I went to Shields Up! and did a port scan and the rest of it. The results showed that I was far from stealthed, which angered me slightly. After a bit of looking around on google, it turns out that newer versions of Guarddog won't start up the iptables script properly, so I've had to put in a work around, which Simon Edwards (Guarddog) has come up with. What bugs me is the fact that this fairly important bit of info is not mentioned on the Guarddog website and Mr Edwards apparently knows about it.
