I need a new passport; my old one expires in 6 months, but I want a year extension to my visa which runs out in 15 days. The biggest problem is trying to find all the documents required; because I was born outside the UK, I need proof of my dad's Britishness, my parent's marriage certificate and my birth certificate; and, because my mother is a naturalised Brit, I need her registration number. Plus, I need someone who is British and of high standing to countersign it. This part could be tricky, as I don't know many Brits over here and the ones I do know are probably on the run.
